About Us
Research and development of phenolic molding plastics for 20 years
Before approving a phenolic material or an alternative supplier, define the housing being approved and the evidence needed for its intended use. Match material reports to the exact grade, then validate the moulded housing against agreed component requirements and any separate appliance requirements.
This guide supports the sandwich maker outer-housing application. It provides a structure for agreeing on validation; it does not assign a universal test programme to every housing.
Record the material grade, colour, supplier, production source, housing drawing revision, thickness, moulding process and relevant document versions. State the operating conditions, intended market, electrical function and food-contact boundary.
For PF2A4-161J, review the product documentation requirements before treating a report as evidence for the intended component. Check the identity and conditions printed in the report, rather than relying on its filename or a general material description.
| Requirement area | Conditions and acceptance criteria to define |
|---|---|
| Temperature exposure | Housing measurement locations, operating conditions, exposure duration and acceptable results |
| Repeated heating and dimensional stability | Temperature sequence, number of cycles, measurement stages and dimensional limits |
| Mechanical and fastening performance | Load or impact arrangement, assembly conditions and acceptable damage or movement |
| Moisture and electrical function | Exposure and conditioning, specimen or housing geometry, electrical test conditions and limits |
| Grease and cleaning exposure | Contact conditions, duration, cleaning agents and appearance or functional criteria |
| Appearance and assembly | Surface defects, critical dimensions and fit against the approved drawing |

Select the methods and criteria with the parties responsible for the component and appliance. Keep material-specimen results, finished-housing results and appliance assessments identifiable in the records.
For each relevant report, review the grade, colour, thickness, method, specimen preparation, conditions, date and issuer. Confirm whether the document covers the material, a component or an appliance.
Where a project requires RoHS, REACH or other compliance documentation, we provide the report relevant to the supplied grade on request; each report's results apply to the samples and models it names. Food-contact suitability needs its own assessment where the design creates a relevant contact pathway. The external-housing application alone does not establish that suitability.
Agree on the sample source, batch identity, production conditions and tests before starting. Inspect moulding results first, then evaluate the samples against the defined functional requirements.
For incoming compound, agree on the batch documents, inspection method, acceptance limits and treatment of nonconforming material. Retain traceability from the supplied batch to the housings used in validation. Agree on the number and selection of production batches needed to support approval for the project.
The moulding and troubleshooting guide identifies the process and defect records to carry into this evaluation.

Use the currently approved specification and housing requirements as the comparison basis. Identify any differences in the material, process or supplied form. Review the replacement documentation and samples, then agree on the production-trial and validation evidence needed before changing supply.
Customer feedback about a previous application can inform the discussion. Approval of a new housing should remain tied to its defined requirements and results.
Retain the approved scope, test conditions, results, accepted samples, open issues and responsible parties. Agree on notification and review arrangements for changes to the grade, colour, material source or manufacturing process.
Include the agreed quality, traceability and change requirements in the purchase specification. The sourcing guide connects these requirements to compound supply or finished-housing production.
